TRACE32® adds support for NXP’s new S32K3 MCU family for automotive and industrial
Lauterbach, the World’s leading supplier of debug and trace tools, is
pleased to announce the addition of NXP’s new S32K3 MCU family to the
growing list of processors supported by their TRACE32® debug system.
TRACE32 now provides full support for all members of the S32K3 family in
single-core, multi-core, and lockstep configurations supporting up to
ASIL D.
S32K3 MCUs are designed for automotive applications such as body
electronics, battery management systems and emerging zonal and domain
control ECUs and incorporate advanced safety and connectivity features
to facilitate efficient and secure over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
Enabling this is a Hardware Security Engine (HSE) that supports
AES-128/192/256, RSA and ECC encryption with secure key storage, secure
boot, and side-channel protection functions. TRACE32 tools support
secure application debugging and trace capability for all the S32K3
MCU's cores.
Coupled with the Lauterbach Tool Qualification Support Kit (TQSK), this
provides developers with a proven, qualified set of tools for their ISO
26262 ASIL D applications allowing them to leverage the best in class
for microprocessors and development tools.
According to General Manager, Norbert Weiss, “We are pleased to, once
again, be able to offer class leading tools to our customers. Our
collaboration with NXP has allowed both companies to provide the optimal
solution for automotive engineers who are delivering the next
generation of advances in vehicle technology. Having, trusted, reliable
tools available from day one helps our customers get their designs to
market faster and more cost effectively.”
